This guided combination tour brings together shark cage diving in Gansbaai and seasonal whale watching in Hermanus, with transport from Cape Town and a qualified local tourist guide throughout the day.

Your adventure begins in Gansbaai, one of South Africa’s best-known shark cage diving destinations. After a safety briefing, board your vessel and head out to sea for the opportunity to encounter Bronze Whaler (Copper) Sharks in the wild. Enter the secure shark cage for an exhilarating close-up experience, or remain on board and enjoy excellent shark viewing and photographic opportunities from the vessel.

After your shark cage diving experience, continue along the Cape Whale Coast to Hermanus and Walker Bay. Between June and November, Southern Right Whales migrate to these sheltered waters to mate and calve. Your day includes a boat-based whale watching cruise from Hermanus Harbour, where sightings may also include Humpback Whales, Bryde’s Whales, dolphins, Cape fur seals and a variety of seabirds.

Throughout the journey, your qualified local tourist guide will share insights into the region’s marine wildlife, conservation and coastal environment.
