Mossel Bay offers one of the most consistent shark cage diving experiences in South Africa, with a high success rate of sightings and excellent conditions almost year-round. Located along the beautiful Garden Route, this site is particularly renowned for close-up encounters with Bronze Whaler (Copper) Sharks – a fast-moving, curious species often seen in large numbers around the cage.

Diving trips launch from the Mossel Bay Harbour and head towards Seal Island, home to thousands of Cape Fur Seals and a prime shark hunting ground. The dive cage is attached to the boat’s surface, so no diving experience is needed. You’ll also enjoy panoramic views of the Mossel Bay coastline and its rich marine biodiversity.

This experience is ideal for travellers heading along the Garden Route or looking to add an adrenaline-filled adventure to their coastal holiday.
