The island is so named because of the great number of Cape fur seals that occupy it. Dyer Island is just off the coast and is home to one of the largest seal colonies in Southern Africa. The approximately 60,000 seals provide the main diet of the Great White Shark. The channel that intersects this island is called Shark Alley.Our full-day tour provides the following: A light breakfast on arrival An information and safety briefing. 2-4 hours at sea Cinematographer to capture all the action (optional DVD - R350) Experienced dive master and skipper 7mm wetsuit with mask and snorkel Scuba gear available for PADI-certified divers Our 8-man cage allows you to have several dives Our largest boat only takes 24 clients. In February 2005, Aquila announced the birth of the first rhino to be born in the Western Cape in 250 years. At the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016, another 4 rhino calves were born at the reserve.Birdlife: Aquila is named after the endangered black or Verreaux eagle and is involved in a conservation project for black eagles and other raptors. Aquila is home to approximately 172 species of birds and is also home to several breeding pairs of the rare black eagle. Karoo chat, Rufous-eared Warbler, fairy flycatcher and yellow-bellied eremomela can be found on short walks into the surrounding wilderness. Lark-like bunting and black-headed canaries move in after the rainy season. In the summer months, the booted eagle is a regular visitor and the rainy season attracts flamingos to the reserve.

After only 15 minutes of ground briefing, you will enjoy a spectacular 20-minute aircraft ride, experiencing the finest views of the West Coast, Cape Town, Robben Island, and Table Mountain. Then it's action time! Out the door for a 120mph/200kph freefall, falling about 2530 seconds from 9,000ft or forabout 35 40 seconds from 11,000ft.
